 1. During my K-12 education, I experienced distance learning primarily through platforms like Google Classroom, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. These tools were effective in keeping students connected with teachers and assignments, but they lacked the engagement of in-person learning. Google Classroom helped organize coursework, while Zoom and Teams facilitated live lessons, though technical issues sometimes disrupted learning. I haven’t used VR for education, but I’d love to experience it because it could make lessons more immersive, especially for subjects like science and history. 2. Open Educational Resources are freely accessible teaching and learning materials that educators and students can use, modify, and share. These resources include textbooks, lesson plans, videos, and interactive activities, often available under open licenses like Creative Commons. 3. Working on Assignment 4 helped me improve my ability to create engaging PowerPoint presentations for educational purposes. I learned how to design visually appealing slides, incorporate animations effectively, and structure information clearly for an audience. I enjoyed the creative aspect of designing slides but found it challenging to balance text and visuals without making slides too cluttered. Next time, I will focus on making my content more concise while using visuals strategically to enhance understanding.
