 1. While working on Assignment 5, I learned much about using PowerPoint. All in high school we used Google Slides and I had never used any Microsoft sites until college. I like how PowerPoint is organized and how it is easy to find everything. When using the action buttons it got a little confusing trying to hyperlink them to the right slides but I think I have them all figured out.

2. As a future 3rd-grade teacher, I anticipate using data collection tools like Google Forms or Qualtrics to gather insights into student learning, classroom engagement, and parental feedback. For example, I could use surveys to assess student understanding of math concepts after a unit or collect data on reading preferences to tailor literacy instruction. Additionally, parent surveys could help me understand their perspectives on their child's progress and classroom communication. These tools will enable me to make data-driven decisions that enhance my teaching strategies and better support my students' needs.

3. One technology-related skill I would like to learn next is how to effectively use Google Sheets for data analysis in the classroom. My SMART goal is: By the end of the next school semester, I will learn to use Google Sheets to track and analyze student progress by completing an online course and applying my knowledge to create a sample student performance tracker. To achieve this, I will dedicate at least one hour per week to learning spreadsheet functions such as conditional formatting, formulas, and data visualization. I will also practice by inputting sample data and refining my ability to interpret trends, ensuring that I can efficiently use this tool to improve instructional decisions.
